Akmal and Jatin have been web administrators over the past year. The CDT would like to thank both for their support and hard work. They will now be handing over the webpage to Steven Gibney in Nottingham who will be working with Karolina Dziemidowicz and Simon Kellaway.

Welcome back!

Alastair Breen is back from a 2 month research stay at Kunming University of Science and Technology.

Our 1st year CDT students have finished their industry placements, after spending three months with either AstraZeneca, Pfizer or GSK.

Jatin Mistry has recently completed a three month secondment at Inovapotek in Portugal investigating the potential of lipid nanoparticle formulations for enhancing skin permeation of an active ingredient.

Events

3rd Year CDT students will meet for Action-based learning set in May 2018. 

  CDT supervisor lunches have been arranged to update supervisors on CDT activities and to provide a platform for discussions and networking.

CDT Colloquium programme

The "Molecular Therapeutics & Formulation and Protein Therapeutics Spring Colloquium" will be taking place on the 1st May 2018 at University College London. 

The plenary speaker, Dr Ahad Rahim, is a Lecturer in Translational Neuroscience and a recipient of a UCL Excellence Fellowship in Neurological Disease Modelling. His talk will be focussing on gene delivery as potential treatment for lethal paediatric neurological conditions.
