All six National Collaborating Centres collaborated to create
a new collection on population mental health promotion for children and youth, with the aim of increasing understanding and encouraging discussion about how to better integrate and strengthen public health practice in this area. Mental health wellness is a public health priority that will benefit from front-line staff working in collaboration with others to build healthy and resilient communities.
The project collection includes five papers on the following topics: the environment, infectious diseases, chronic diseases, healthy public policy, and Indigenous health.
Environmental Influences was written by the NCCEH and the NCC for Determinants of Health to provide an overview of the evidence of how the built, natural and social environments affect the mental well-being of children.
