Special Business Briefing - March 19th Join Lt. Governor Brent Sanford, GNDC, North Dakota Department of Commerce, Small Business Administration (SBA), ND Department of Health, and North Dakota Job Service on March 19 at 10:00 am (CDT) for a review of the business and individual impacts of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. This legislation is a $1.9 Trillion economic stimulus package to support the United States' recovery from the economic and health effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing recession. Topics covered by this Special Business Briefing will be extended unemployment benefits, SBA small business relief and North Dakota-specific benefits and resources for businesses. To receive call-in information, attendees must register as a non-member. A confirmation email with call specifics will be sent to the email provided in the registration prior to the call. Please provide
your questions relating to the call during registration. These will be provided ahead of time to the Department of Commerce so that presenters can address your questions to the extent possible, given the dynamic environment. Questions not addressed during the conference call will be answered in follow-up communication. This call will be recorded so it can be accessed at a later time. Lunch & Learn: Grant Writing Series
Sign up for the next Lunch & Learn on March 23rd, 2021! Grant Writing 101 Series: Grant Readiness
In this Lunch & Learn, participants will engage in discussion that will support their readiness to apply for local, state, and federal grants. Participants will receive instruction on the nuances surrounding grant funding, including distinctions between federal, state, and foundation opportunities and applicant eligibility. Participants will also receive instruction on the elements that make a project fundable, as well as how to engage strategic partners, outline a comprehensive budget, and understand the impact on the community. And finally, the skills required to find and evaluate whether a grant opportunity is a fit for the project proposed will be covered.

| Microgrants Open ACDC has four business microgrant programs are available to all new and existing businesses in Adams County. Applications are submitted on a rolling deadline. Business programs including a One-time Business Improvement Microgrant ($3,000, one-to-one cash match), Interest Subsidy Microgrant ($3,000 paid to lender), Loan Collateral Microgrant ($3,000 CD at local financial institution), and Rent Subsidy Microgrant ($3,000 paid to landlord). Join the Chamber!
The Hettinger Area Chamber of Commerce spent 2020 advocating for a strong local economy & community through creating events & programs that promote tourism, marketing & communication, workforce & job development, and leadership & education. New to 2020 was our commitment to helping our businesses and community navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. As we step into 2021, we are celebrating the successes of 2020, including: over $86,000 in grant funds brought into the community; 40 in-person and virtual professional development, tourism, and morale-boosting events hosted; over $23,000 in Chamber Gift Certificates sold and more than $21,000 redeemed at local businesses; and the opening of The Rural Collective.
