A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAPLAIN...

Closing and Opening Chapters

Greetings Chinook Family,
I pray that each of you and your families are doing well as the summer countdown has begun, and with that the soon closing of yet another chapter.   To our grade 12 graduates this weekend marks a very important point in your life and we each want to congratulate you and wish you all of God’s richest blessings as you close one chapter to soon begin another.
Today I want to direct our attention to some important promises that help us have faith, encourage and align/guide our priorities as we proceed to the next chapter in our future:
1.     "For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
2.     "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
3.     "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans." Proverbs 16:3

I pray Grads that you do not waste your time by pursuing your own agenda’s, but seeking God’s plans FIRST & always.   How sad to realize years from now, that had you only sought God and His leading now, much needless pain and emptiness could be averted in your future.

As such Grads & friends “Let us seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and remember that all these “other” things He will add to us.”   Matt. 6:33 (adapted by me)

Dear Grads as you pursue your dreams and your desires, I encourage you to make Him your beginning and end in each chapter of your life.

If you but daily invite Him into your life, He will always be YOUR GOD, your strength, your courage, your peace, your only hope, your true guide, your Saviour, your Friend, your GPS in all CHAPTERS of your life.
Always remember Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
God bless each of you as you pursue Him and His leading in the closing and opening of your life’s chapters.
Congratulations to the class of 2019 and congratulations to all the parents!

Your Brother in Christ,
Pastor Paul Antunes
