| Healthy Babies Healthy Babies is a community program funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada and hosted through Westcoast Family Centres Society. The program supports pregnant women and women with babies up to six months old who need extra help and support and who have limited financial resources. We support pregnant women and new moms by offering free prenatal and Vitamin D supplements, food vouchers and bus tickets, group discussions and guest speakers from the community. Each location has on site child minding.
We
run four groups a week in Maple Ridge and the Tri-Cities, groups run year round.
Women may access the group by referral through their family doctor, public health nurse or community agency, women can also self-refer, registration is completed during the group. A support person (i.e. settlement worker, family support worker) is welcome to come along as support.
Group Times and Locations:
Monday- 11:30-2:00: The Family Education and Support Centre, 22554 Lougheed Highway, Maple Ridge.
Tuesday- 12:00-2:30: SHARE Family Resource Centre, 699 Robinson Street, Coquitlam.
Thursday- 11:30-2:00: Trinity United Church, 2211 Prairie Avenue, Port Coquitlam.
Friday- 11:30-2:00: Blue Mountain Baptist Church, 450 Blue Mountain Street, Coquitlam.
