To be registered with Canberra we may need you to confirm you are a member of the Indigenous Party of Australia.

We are up to the step now where the AEC are contacting a sample of people from our membership list to confirm they are members.

If Canberra contact you, by email or phone, can you please respond?

We cannot be registered unless people who joined the Indigenous Party of Australia confirm with Canberra.

As you may be aware we are going through the process to have -
The Indigenous-Aboriginal Party of Australia registered as a political party with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).
We have completed the application process and lodged all our documents, which included providing a list of 550 people who have joined our party.

The AEC has now confirmed -
* everyone on our 550 list are enrolled to vote, and
* everyone's details match what the AEC has on their system (addresses etc)

We are now at the stage where the AEC will contact about 50 people off the list to check they agreed to be members.

We really appreciate your support and your help with getting our party registered.

We are hoping to stand a few candidates at the next Federal election.
