Ready, Set, Go!

The 2022 BC Summer Games in Prince George kick off this week! Below are a few things to remember to do before you leave:

(1) Review your travel information online, print a copy for your record, and plan to arrive early at your departure location using the BC GAMES PARTICIPANT WEBSITE.
(2) Review the luggage restrictions, label all of your bags, and don't forget your pillow, sleeping bag, and water bottle. 
(3) Review the Guide to the Games.
(4) Review the general Games schedule and your specific sport schedule now posted online.

Remember to "pack your patience"!

Ceremonies and Special Events

The Opening Ceremony and Closing Celebration for the BC Summer Games are memorable experiences and should not be missed. Opening Ceremony kicks off on July 21 at 7 p.m. (preshow at 6:00 p.m.) at the CN Centre while the Closing Celebration, a participant-only event, will conclude your time at the Games.
Friday July 22 & Saturday, July 23 -- 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
On Friday and Saturday, fun-filled nights have been planned to give you a chance to socialize with your fellow BC Games participants. These events will be packed with activities including music, obstacle course, breakout games, a photo booth with the BC Games Torch, and more!




Friends and Family Events

Are you a friend or a family member looking for something to do? There are a number of great opportunities for entertainment, including: House of Ancestors Night Market on July 22 from 4-9 p.m., the Carrier Lumber Ltd. Mill Tours taking place July 21-22, and the University of Northern BC Campus Tours available from July 21-23 during the Games. 






Volunteer photographers will be capturing the Games and posting images to Flickr for your to enjoy!

Staying Healthy at the Games

As the Prince George 2022 BC Summer Games will bring together people from every region of the province, appropriate precautions have been put into place to help minimize health risks.

There are many tools that can help protect you, other volunteers, and participants from COVID-19 and other communicable diseases. It is up to each person to make use of these tools to ensure we keep one another safe while at the Games.




Recognition Opportunities

External Sport Credits

External Sport Credits may be available for athletes who participate in an ongoing training program that enables them to qualify for and/or participate in the BC Winter or BC Summer Games.
